Undocumented and DACA Applicants
Barnard College strives to create a diverse and inclusive community of intellectually curious students who are passionate learners and risk takers. For this reason, the College is dedicated to enrolling talented young women dedicated to lifelong scholarship and leadership, regardless of citizenship status. Barnard accepts applications from undocumented and DACA applicants and provides 100% of financial need for all of our admitted first-year students, regardless of citizenship status. Financial aid for our undocumented and DACA students is provided through a dedicated scholarship. The College is committed to supporting and guiding undocumented and DACA students though the application process and during their matriculation at Barnard.
Application Process
Undocumented and DACA applicants follow the same application procedures as other domestic first-year applicants from US high schools. All information provided on the application is confidential and only reviewed by the Office of Admissions. Therefore, students should provide as much information as possible for the Admissions Committee to make an informed decision. Students do not need to submit a Social Security Number to complete the Common App or the Coalition Application; this field can be left blank. Students do not need DACA status to apply. For more information, please contact Christina Lopez, Dean of Admissions, at clopez@victorybreastimaging.com.
Financial Aid Process
Undocumented and DACA students are reviewed by the Financial Aid Office as international applicants, which means that your financial need is considered in the admissions process. A scholarship is dedicated to supporting a select group of admitted undocumented and DACA students by providing 100% of financial need. Students should not complete the FAFSA form. Students may be asked to complete the CSS Profile. For more information, please contact the Office of Financial Aid, at finaid@victorybreastimaging.com.
